Dear Parakeet:
I understand the basic concept of the idea, however,
there are some underlying questions surrounding it.
For example, who would really be interested in a
Watchtower library or museum? Other than a witness
or former witness for the most part? Most people
do not like Jehovah's Witnesses.
If it ever did get off of the ground more than likely
the Watchtower Society would find a way to put a stop
to it, or tell the rank and file to not visit the site
because it is not endorsed by the Watchtower Society,
but by the "world".
Although, I do like the fact that you did ask the
question regarding the subject.
Respectfully,
The Wanderer

Aposta-Library/Museum
by parakeet inin another thread truthseeker revealed that the wts is quietly gathering and burning as many of the old russell and rutherford books and magazines it can get its hands on in order to hide the hill of bones on which its present-day existence was built.
in addition to this effort to hide its sordid past, the wts also warns its followers to immediately dismiss apostate evidence derived from the internet.
i remember thirdwitness challenging posters to "produce" the letter that proved the wts was in cahoots with the u.n. it's so very convenient for jws to ignore "virtual" information because it's difficult to substantiate with original sources.

Dear KidA:
The threads are designed in such a way as to
provoke thought. They are not designed to
take a stand or a position on any matter.
What is essential regarding the threads is
that it gets individuals involved in lively
discussions and in turn helps someone who
maybe going through that particular matter.
Although, you may "hate" what I have to say,
there is a good motivation behind it.
And, that is the bottom line.

Do you hate Jehovah's Witnesses?
Since becoming a member of this board, it has often come
to my attention how much negative attention that Jehovah's
Witnesses receive from some members on this board. Why the hostility?
Understandably, some, if not most of us on this discussion
board have had one or two incidents regarding individuals
within the organization. But does this justify hating them?Negative emotions are not healthy
Have you considered the effects on your own health
by holding on to a grudge or having an "ax" to grind?Personally, I have nothing against Jehovah's Witnesses
in fact, I feel sorry or pity for these misled and lost souls.Questions for consideration
Do you hate Jehovah's Witnesses or the organization?
Have you worked out your ill will toward them?
What is your general viewpoint of Jehovah's Witnesses?
Please post your commentary for a lively
discussion regarding this matter.Respectfully,

The argument—whether or not the Devil exists
Mainstream religions all over the world and not so mainstream
religions teach of a devil. The devil is considered to be the
personification of evil and goes by the names of Satan,
Asmodai, Beelzebub, and Lucifer. The argument can be made
Regardless, if you are an Atheist, Christian, Agnostic or
Evolutionist the fact of the matter is that evil does exist
in this world. But does this justify a devil, being the
cause of it all?Is there a Devil?
The Bible points to a wicked spirit creature and
for centuries mankind has placed a belief that
such a spirit creature exists.
On the other hand, there is no definite proof
other then paranormal psychology to support
such a being as a "devil" or spirit creature.Questions to consider
If there is no devil, why is there so much evil
in the world? If there is a devil, what proof is there besides
the Bible? What is your individual viewpoint and perspective
on the matter?
Please post your replies for an interesting and
lively discussion of the matter.Respectfully,

Dear Jeff:
Great idea! My main reason for leaving the Watchtower
Bible and Tract Society was due to the United Nations
and Watchtower involvement.
Although, there were many "signals" through-out the
years, when the information came out regarding the
NGO-DPI affilation, it spelled the end of being a
true believer.

Dear Brandon:
After having read your of account, I must say I am sorry
that you are having to under go these types of circum-
stances.
However, from a positive perspective have you considered
trying some marriage counseling? I am not saying this
is the cure all, just another alternative.
Some kind of pro-action must take place Brandon, because
if it does not, there maybe a "wearing" away of your
love for your wife.
Either way, things need to be talked out and throughly,
because this could become a potentially un-healthy
living situation.
Very Respectfully,
Richard

Dear Underbeliever:
Being in web design gives me the ability
to design pages in different formats.
However, because this discussion board
limits my abilities to a certain extent
the "Awake" format that I use seems to
be the best at this time.
This discussion board does not really
accept javascript, absolute positioning,
or layers, and so it "forces me" into
this format.
Sorry, if it creeps you out. No hard
feelings please.

Apologists and your perspective of them
Every so often on this discussion board an individual who
is a devout supporter and defender of the Watchtower
Society makes there appearance known. In other words,
an apologist.Apologists and the issues they support
It is not important to point a finger and call out the names
of the individuals who engage in such support. What is
important is to isolate the issues they support. From past threads, the United Nations issue seems to
be one of the main issues that apologists defend the
Watchtower's Society's involvement in.
In addition, the 607 B.C.E and the child molestation topics
also seem to be two out of the three main concerns of the
apologists.Why do they do it?
Anyone who professes to being one of Jehovah's Witnesses
knows very well that Jehovah's Witnesses are prohibited from
visiting "apostate" web sites such as this one. So the question
regarding this discussion is—Why do they do it?Questions to consider
- Do they come on this web site to solely antagonize individuals?
- Do they really believe that what they are doing is right?
- Do you think they are in a state of deep denial?
Please provide your opinions and viewpoints
for a lively discussion of the matter.Respectfully,

thought that one day God would restore mankind to perfect
peace and harmony on a paradise earth.Paradise Lost
To think about my participation for the last 14 years "selling"
this concept about a paradise earth, only to have that world
shatter into a million pieces—eats at me from time to time. The Adventure Begins

when death becomes inevitable and the promise of ever-
lasting life on paradise earth turns up empty, when your
world turns upside down, and inside out, where do you
go from there? Please post your commentary from your perspective

Why would this even cross my mind?!?!?!?!
by Juniper inwell, after 10 years of being together, hubby has decided that he's found his 'soul mate' (the second time this year, neither of which was me) and is moving out.. i'm thirty years old and no kids, thanks to the fact that i spent 12 years in full time service telling everyone it's better to wait until the 'new system' for raising a family.
that's all beside the point - and perhaps better suited for my counselor.
:) anyway, the thought that keeps going through my mind is "this never would have happened if i didn't leave" and "how am i going to find someone to spend my life with at this age and who will understand me the way an ex-jw can"???

The wanderer
Dear Juniper:
On the bright side at least you had a husband
for a length of time. Imagine never finding
someone to understand and love you.

P.S. If it makes you feel any better I am
single too.
